There were many factors that influenced the outcome of the strike. That winter Colorado experienced the worst snowfall it’s seen in 30 years. Strikebreakers were brought in from other states although it was against the law. Mother Jones, an inspirational figure and leader, was restricted from entering the area and attention to the strike was deferred because of the ongoing trouble with Mexico. But, the most significant factor was the violence. The militiamen and Colorado National Guard (sent in by Governor Ammons) constantly exchanged blows with the strikers.

Slavery took place throughout all ages and within different cultures and continents, though its forms differed from one place to another. The word ‘slavery’ is defined as a social-economic arrangement where the person is driven out of his/her private liberty and isolation in addition to being enforced to do labor and/or perform various services. Moreover, it can be used in describing the situation when one person got treatment as material goods by another one, also known as “chattel slavery”. Results of the different researches done by the human rights organizations showed that there were more than 27 million sufferers from slavery all over the world.

The present Charter ascertains the comparison of two artistic styles known in the Renaissance age. Renaissance is famous for its magnificent pieces of art and masterpieces. One of its central features is that it lasted for several ages and had different cultural and architectural deviations varying from region or state or period of time. My task is to trait two splendid periods in Renaissance era – early Italian and high in Rome. To proceed with this challenging task, I will structure my paper in the following way. The first part will describe the early Renaissance in Italy and then I will come to high Renaissance in Rome with a short outline of the periods I will proceed with the comparison.

Of all liberal attempts at reconstruction, none began more hopefully nor ended more pathetically than the German republic. On paper—that is, in its constitution—it appeared to be one of the most advanced democratic nations of the times, but almost from the beginning it encountered die-hard opposition from both ends of the political spectrum. Its founders carried the onus of having accepted the Versailles treaty with the war guilt clause. It was overwhelmed by the worldwide depression, which struck Germany with greater severity than almost any other nation. The republic got off to a bad start. The provisional government declared an immediate end to martial law and the reestablishment of traditional civil liberties and set about preparing for an election for a constituent assembly. Before the election could take place the Sparticist uprising in Berlin showed that the forces of democracy would be opposed on the Left as well as the Right.

There are so many questions that are unanswered and the truth may never be found no matter how much time we spend investigating and how much technological knowledge we gain. Considering how long ago the Egyptians had walked and lived on the Earth, we still have an enormous amount of information about their lives and their way of living. One of the most interesting procedures of their time is how they prepared for the afterlife, especially for their great pharaohs. Their culture is so different from the way that we as Americans live ours lives today and our beliefs about happens to us when we die.

The Hundred Years’ War is the common name given to a series of conflicts between the two great European nations of the time, France and England. The conflicts, which were broken up periodically by numerous truces and treaties, lasted from 1337 till 1453. The conflict stemmed from the fact that successive English kings controlled large areas in France called fiefs. To make matters worse, in 1308, England’s Prince Edward II married the daughter of King Phillip IV of France. The war consisted of three major conflicts; The Edwardian War (1340-1360), The Caroline War (1369-1389), and the Lancastrian War (1415-1435).

In the plentiful land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, known as Mesopotamia, now modern day Iraq there ruled a powerful civilization like no other in the area. This land had rolling hills and abundant rainfall, making it a very habitable place to live. With such crops as barley and sesame they were able to live a rich life in the area. Animals such as sheep, goats, and cattle also provided a rich life. The name of this great empire was the Assyrians, which struck fear in the hearts of their enemies. This great empire ruled from about 2000 BC to about 612 BC. During this time period the Assyrians went through three separate periods. First there was the Old Assyrian Period which lasted from 2000 BC to about 1363 BC.

There were many causes of the Civil war. When you trim it down there are three main reasons for the civil war. They were sectionalism, unbalanced power, and last but not least Lincoln. Lincoln’s was the final insult the southerners would take. The formation of the Confederate States of America. The southern states did not feel or act like part of the Union. They were very behind in technology. Most of the population of the country was in the north; therefore the south had less power politically. Almost all of the southerners hated or disliked Lincoln.
